Student Organizations
Make friends. Get involved. The School of Design and Community Development has a
number of student clubs and organizations to help you find your niche.
American Society of Interior Designers
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is the leading organization for
interior design professionals and students. From corporate boardrooms to home offices,
hotel suites to health care facilities, ASID designers create places we live, work,
play, heal and worship. The organization is open to all members in the Interior
Design and Design Studies programs.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential
for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural
education.
The FBA provides students in the fashion, dress and merchandising program at West
Virginia University with the opportunity to experience many different aspects surrounding
the field.
Student Society of Landscape Architects
The Professional Organization of the Landscape Architecture Program. They sponsor
professional development programs, and sponsor a showcase of student projects at
the end of each year.
US Green Building Council (USGBC) Students - WVU
Representing college and university-based groups of students, USGBC Students provides
a way for hundreds of young leaders to come together and participate in hands-on
green building experiences on their own campuses through service initiatives.
Those are just the tip of the iceberg. A complete list of student organizations is
available on the
WVU Davis College website.
