Theresa Robinson, a 2000 graduate of the fashion, dress and merchandising program, came to WVU to play for the inaugural women’s soccer team. Although unsure of a major she’d like to pursue, Robinson loved fashion and drawing.
“I remember sketching clothes in my notebook when I was in elementary school,” she said.
Thankfully, she found and fell in love with the Davis College’s fashion program which provided her with a solid foundation in the discipline.
Fourteen years post-graduation, Robinson is co-owner of a luxury contemporary knitwear company called LABEL+thread which sells clothing to 350 specialty stores across the country.
She’s responsible for everything from sketching collections to managing the company’s website and other online venues.
“My hat changes every day,” she said. “Every day is a new fire, and there is never a moment when I can sit back and think that I finished everything I needed to do that day.”
